It is never a girls mistake anymore

I have many friends around me. Equal number of guys and girls... if 2 guys would equal 1 girl ;-) But the fact is almost all of the guys I know have been let down by a girl at one point or the other. And almost all the girls I know have let down a guy at one point or the other. My calculations would only go wrong if I am not telling that a guy has been let down by many girls or a girl has let down many guys. If my HR lessons were true, Learning is a continuous process and it happens to stop us from doing the same mistake twice. How come a guy always tends to repeat this mistake of trusting a girl and end up messing it all? Ok ok, I hear girls say loud “Boys are naturally a bit dumb”. No guy would not want to accept that… If only you can draw the boundaries of that dumbness to matters associated with a girl.

The above statements would look like a guy shouting out in despair (Of course of being let down). It might be or might not be true. But the important factor to question is why is this belief of girls being not so trustworthy (I am restricting this statement only to love) going on since the existence of life!!! If you think very hard…………….. you cannot figure out anything ;-).. Just relating to simple things, I can answer that question instantly.. It is all because of the guy.

No girl accepts a guy that easily. She takes lot of time to say a yes… But when she says it she means it. You all could have heard this lot of times. A guy on the other hand, falls in love instantly, expresses it as crazily as possible, and does things he himself could not have imagined he could do – Just to get that girl, come what may. In the process of trying to impress her, he lives a life that is not he. He transforms to someone to whom that girl would like saying yes to. The actual problem is not that. The issue is he cannot keep acting for long. When the person who was liked by the girl ceases to exist, it is then she realizes that she has been fooled into this whole drama called Love.

If you can return a set of speakers worth a few rupees for the reason that they do not produce the sound which they promised to... Why can’t a girl return your love to you and just keep walking when you are not the person whom she actually loved? This is the only reason I see for the strikingly large numbers of guys being let down (Differences of opinion are always welcome). But we do not stop proposing, we do not stop chasing, we do not stop acting, we do not stop feeling for it or we do not stop being someone else for that matter of fact.

This whole argument might seem one sided. It goes without saying that this does not apply to guys who have loved a girl being themselves and still got deceived. I guess I am speaking of the majority here. There are those bad girls out there in equal number to that of the bad guys. But still, if you do not drag her into it there is no need to experience you being dragged out of it forcibly. After all, you cannot drive a 1000 CC bike at 180 KMPH, get yourself crushed and complain that the bike crushed you. Yes, it is powerful, it is capable of being driven at that speed but if you exploit it without proper gears or under wrong circumstances then you deserve being killed. It is never the bikes mistake anymore. It is never a girls mistake anymore…

  2. Well written Kannan. Point taken. But it works two ways. Girls unrealistically expect guys to be lover boys after marriage when they have bills to pay, a house to run, responsibilities.

Guys love for love's sake. But women are genetically hardwired to select the best mate for their offspring. So they want the one with the best bank balance. :P

'Pyar ka Punchnama' is a hindi movie about how girls take advantage of guys. The fairer sex have been guilty of emotional blackmail too. At the risk of sounding chauvanistic I will say 'Trust a sanke not a woman'. In Rajni's words, it is all Maya.

  4. @ Ramana : Yup... But as you know... The one who forced you into a crime is more liable than the one who actually committed the crime... That way we are more responsible :-)

It is not wrong for girls to expect the best bank balance when we can expect the best white skin and the best attractive features :-)

Maya concept is fine. Trusting a snake stuff is not... Do not lead to mistrust is all I got to say :-)

  5. The snake comment was made in a lighter vein and not to offend women.

  6. @ Ramana : I know you will not... After all we are all dependent on one girl or the other :-)
